Choose a content you would like to teach in Class 8 and prepare a lesson plan to teach the content. Cover those 6 components of instructional design in your plan. When you prepare it, share it on your blog.

 In class 8, I would like to teach materials used in daily life.

Specific objectives:

After the lesson

·        Students will be able to explain  useful materials and their chemical composition.

·        Students will be able to describe chemical pollution.

·        Students will be able to develop physical relation with chemicals and their constituents.

·         Students will be able to develop social and ecofriendly  environment.

 

Teaching learning activities:

Introduction:

I will start my class with display some picture related to the community helpers. Like useful chemicals .Its uses advantages and disadvantages.

Group division (how, what will each of the group do? how does the teacher rotate/manage groups)

I will divide the students of grade 8 into 4 groups and instruct each activity.

Group – 1 (collecting pictures / newspaper/ posters)

Group - 2 Collecting somechemicals used in daily life which is easy to handle and safe.

Group -3  perform some useful activity by chemicals.

Group – 4 show the harmful effects by the chemicals.

I will rotate each group after 8/10 min.

 

Concept time: I will use PPT.

I will display some chemicals and its related videos.

 

 

 

Conclusions:

I will ask each group to present their tasks. I will appreciate each group for their active participation.

 

Teaching materials:

Flash card/ newspapers/ clothes /chemicals

Evaluation (how to assess?)

I will assess students to find out the useful and harmful aspects of each chemicals that we use in our daily life.

Homework ( Creative )

 

Students must visit their surrounding and write the different chemicals they found and also search the alternatives of these chemicals to reduce chemical pollution.
